Please find below some suggested activities linked to different subjects for you to have a go at if you would like. There will be the usual English and Maths core subject activities, and then also a different non-core subject activity each week.

I would love to see any activities that you have completed, please feel free to upload these onto your portfolio on Class Dojo. It seems that only photos can be uploaded, not PDF files.

It would also be nice to see photos of any other activities that you have been up to!

If you have any questions or are unsure about anything, please use Class Dojo to message me and I will be happy to help.

Maths

We will be having a Maths unit focus which will change every week. The whole school from Years 1 - 6 will focus on the same unit to assist you and your grown-ups with learning from home.

This week we will be focussing on Problem Solving and Reasoning.

We will be looking at decimals.

You have PDF file to look through with some suggested activities which links to this learning.

I’ve tried to include different video links to help support the teaching of the different concepts, I hope that this helps. Some are BBC bitesize, some are Oak Academy, some are YouTube, whichever fits our whole school focus for maths for the week.

Please watch the videos with an adult.

English

We will be having a picture book focus which will change every week. The whole school from Years 1 - 6 will focus on the same text to assist you and your grown-ups with learning from home.

There is the PDF of the story for you to look at.

This week, we are looking at the story 'Dogger'.

There are also some art and crafts ideas linked to the story.

Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education.

Please find suggested PSHE activities to have a go at this week.

This booklet is an opportunity for you to tell your new teacher all about yourself and what you’ve been up to these past few months.

There are printed copies in the office for you to collect should you not wish to print at home.  Please can you return them to school on the afternoon your child comes in, or before the end of term either by popping into the office or sending via Class Dojo.
