Phonics - For our Phonics this week we are going to recap all the phase 5 sounds we have learnt this year.
Monday - Reading words - Allow your child to independently sound out these words.
Tuesday - I Spy Activity - Can you use a reading book to find all of our phonemes that we have learnt and write them on your sheet. Don't forget, you need to sound them out before you can write them.
Wednesday - Buried Treasure Activity - Can you sort these words into real or fake words. This doesn't have to be printed, you can write them on paper and sort them into real or fake words.
Thursday - Car Park Game - Call out a sound and ask your child to park their car/toy/cover the correct sound. Can they then think of a word that has this sound in? Extension: can you give your child a word with one of the sounds in and they have to find the sound that is within the word?
Friday - Charades - Allow your child to read the cards independently, can they act them out for you to guess. Extension - can they draw a picture for each card?
