Eccleshall Rugby
On Friday 12th April, we were incredibly lucky to have Eccleshall rugby into school to run a session with our class. They demonstrated different drills, passes and kicks to teach us all about the game.
Art
Our topic in Art this half term is 'Cloth, Paint and Thread'. We have been learning about textile artists Hannah Rae and Alice Kettle whose use different materials to create their art. This week we began making our own cloth art project inspired by our text for this half term, Alice in Wonderland'. The children chose a scene from the story and painted their background ready to sew.
Forest School
This half term, Year 3 are having forest school every Thursday. Our class page will be updated with photos so keep your eyes out for updates on what we have been getting up to.
Performance Worship
On Tuesday 21st May, Year 3 participated in their first performance worship of the year. They had the opportunity to showcase the amazing work they have been doing in their Music lessons by performing a song for KS1 and EYFS. The children showed courage to get up in front of the school, and showed off their glockenspiel and singing talents. Well done Year 3!
English - Alice in Wonderland
This half term, we have been reading the story 'Alice in Wonderland'. This week we have been learning how to write Cinquain poems, and have written our own Cinquain poems about characters from the story. We decided to take our learning outside and decorate our playground for everybody to read and enjoy our poems!
