RE - Our Wonderful World 

This term, our RE topic is all about God's creation and our wonderful world. This week, Year 2 went outside to explore the world around us and search for signs of God's creation. We listened to the birds singing, felt the wind blowing and saw the beautiful leaves. 

Geography - Our Local Area

This week, as part of our Geography topic, Year 2 went for a walk around our local community. We followed a map with directions to key landmarks around Eccleshall and shared what we could see at each location. 

Eccleshall Rugby Club

We were really lucky this week to host Eccleshall Rugby Club who kindly came to run Rugby practise sessions with the whole school. The children had lots of fun and loved trying the different activities and games. 

PSHE - Junior Leadership Team 

In PSHE, Year 2 have been learning about democracy and how voting works. This week, they used their knowledge to participate in a class ballot to elect our new Junior Leadership representative. The children got to see how a real vote would work and even got to post their vote in the official ballot box. Congratulations to Phoebe who was elected our class representative! 

Art - Spirals 

This term, our Art topic is all about Spirals. We have learned about famous artist Molly Haslund and had a go at drawing our own spirals in our sketchbooks. We have experimented with pastels, fine liner and water colours to create our pieces of art.
