Science Week
This year, Science Week is all about 'changing and adapting'. Thank you to everyone who brought in their timelines, the children have loved sharing them in school and we have loved seeing them.
For our experiment this year, Year 2 have been thinking about what we can flush down the toilet. Today we conducted our experiment and observed how different objects changed and adapted when they were 'flushed' down the toilet. We discussed our findings and drew what changes we could see happening. It was lots of fun!

Please use the links to online maths games and activities from the message below.
Thank you for your understanding.
English
In English, we have been learning how to write a set of instructions about 'How to be an extreme explorer'. We have looked at common features of instruction writing such as: a title, an equipment list, time conjunctions and imperative or 'bossy' verbs.
Please use the examples and templates below to create your own set of instructions on How to be an Extreme Explorer. Consider where you would like to travel to and what items you will need to take with you.
Challenge - Can you include adverbs in your writing to describe your imperative verbs?
SPaG
In our SPaG lessons we have been learning about coordinating and subordinating conjunctions and have been encouraging children to use these in their writing to extend their sentences.
Challenge - Can you write your own sentences using each of the conjunctions?
Handwriting

Please find below a booklet to practise the recognition, spelling and application of our common exception words.
