Admissions

The age range of our children is 3-11 years. Staffordshire County Council is the Admissions authority for the academy. If you would like your child to attend our academy and/or nursery, please see full details of our admission arrangements below. We will consider taking a child the term before they turn 3, but this will need to be assessed on an individual basis.

Nursery Admissions

In order for you to put your child’s name down on our Nursery waiting list, please complete the below form. Once complete please email it to office@lonsdale.staffs.sch.uk alternately please post it to – Bishop Lonsdale CE Academy, Shaws Lane, Eccleshall, Stafford, ST21 6AU.

Please note the Nursey application process begins the Easter before your child is due to start in September of their academic year and all other start dates are listed in the Nursery Admissions Policy.

For Mid Year Admissions

This guidance is for parents or carers of children already of school age who are wishing to move to a Staffordshire school during the school year.

Please note: If you wish to apply for a school in another local authority please contact that authority for details of how to apply.

You will need to complete a In Year Admission Form, which can be found here-

Please note:

  • All sections of the application form must be completed.
  • The form should be returned directly to your preferred school. The school will then notify you of the outcome.
  • Anyone with parental responsibility can apply. However, parents are expected to agree on school places before an application is made. The local authority or admission authority is not in a position to intervene in disputes between parents over school applications and will ask that these are resolved privately
