A very warm welcome to Bishop Lonsdale CE Primary Academy website. It is our hope that you will find a wealth of information about our school on here.
Here at Bishop Lonsdale we are very proud of our values, Christian ethos, caring community, children and staff. Together we work hard to provide an exciting and interesting educational experience for all of our fantastic children. Our priority is to ensure all children have high expectations of themselves and make the best progress academically they can. We also want our children to live and breathe their curriculum and learning through enrichments and enhancements to enthuse and ignite their natural curiosity and thirst for knowledge.
The school community are passionate active participants within our community. We all want our children to be ready to be citizens of the world so that with confidence they trust that;
" Everything is possible for someone who has faith."
Mark 9:23
We believe that success is measured not only academically, but personally, socially and spiritually. High self esteem is encouraged, high expectations, standards and values are fostered and progress and achievement are positively monitored and celebrated. Nurturing each child’s uniqueness and responding to their individual needs matters here at Bishop Lonsdale.
"Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay; you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand."
Isaiah 64:8
We champion excellent links with Holy Trinity Church where we actively participate in many Christian celebrations throughout the year. We aim to enrich the understanding of our children in being part of a multi-cultural society, celebrating British values, diversity and equality. We value and welcome all faiths and non-faith because we value and respect all God’s children and their families and this was reflected in our Church Academy Inspection, called SIAMS, we were graded as outstanding but more importantly it is reflected in our children's ethos, understanding and behaviours.
As Principal, I am proud of and grateful for the relationships that we have with our children, staff, LAC, parents, the wider community of Eccleshall and St Chad's Academies Trust; who work with us on our journey to excellence through effective challenge and support. Together we form an ever expanding school community all seeking to support and drive forward our vision for children's education.
Our website will provide you with information about our academy, but please don't hesitate to contact us should you require further information.
