Weather

Hi everyone, we hope you have all had an enjoyable and safe half term. 

We are now ready to begin the second half of our Spring Term!  Hopefully we soon be given guidance about when we can safely welcome back all the Reception children to school.  In the meantime, we begin our first week back with a weather themed topic.  As always there is a daily focus task and as well as a range of additional suggested daily subject activities including English, Maths and Creative aspects of learning. 

In addition, each day it is important to spend about 15 minutes looking at our focus phonic sound for the day.  The children have now had the opportunity to discover all Phase 2 and Phase 3 phonics sounds so it is important to revisit, consolidate and apply these sounds as much as possible; this will help the children to become confident in recognising the sounds in reading and applying the sounds in writing. 

Thank you for all the support during the first half term and for sharing the work on Tapestry.  Remember you can upload to Tapestry in a way that best suits, this may be daily uploads or it could be one weekly upload of all activities. 

Fingers crossed we will be back together very soon.  Our Teams sessions over the next weeks will be focused on the wellbeing of the children and preparing them for returning to school.
