Take care and stay safe.
I can't believe that it's two weeks since I saw most of your smiling faces and I'm certainly missing seeing them. I hope you are enjoying your learning at home. Now you are able to send me message via Class Dojo. Your grown ups have had an email about it. As it's Friday it's celebration day. I would love to be giving you all a prize from the my prize box but here is a certificate for you all as I know how amazing you all are and I now how will have been working hard at home. I'm also putting on some new links for some great activities that will help your learning.
It's April ! I hope you are all well and continuing to enjoy your home learning. Please ask your adults to send me any of your work. Thank you to Arthur for sending his brilliant self portrait. I would love to put more on here. I have been enjoying watching the birds in my garden and identifying them. There is a link below to help you identify birds. I have seen chaffinches, goldfinches, robins, blackbirds, wrens and pigeons. I wonder what you've seen?
Take care everyone.
Hi everyone. I hope you are all well and had a good weekend. I've started writing a diary of what I do everyday and I thought it might be a good idea for you to to keep one too so that when we meet up and share our best bits !!!
I'm putting on some fun Easter maths which your grown ups may be able to print off for you. There is also a link to do a problem a day- they're fun! Also as it was so windy I found this fun activity you could try. Friday 27th March
Hello everyone. I hope you have enjoyed the sunshine and are continuing to enjoy learning at home. As it's Friday it's celebration day so I'm giving star of the week to you all.
As we can't see each other at the moment it would be lovely if you could all draw or paint a self-portrait of yourself. If you ask your grown up to take a photo and send it to the office I will upload them onto this page so we can see all your fantastic pictures. I promise to do one too!
Wednesday 25th March
Hello everyone. I hope you are well and enjoying your learning at home. As the weather is good at the moment, I am putting on some new links for things you could do in your outside if you are able to. Some of them can be done inside as well if your adults say that's ok. Keep smiling and ask your Parent/carer to email photos of any work you want me to see to the school office. Keep smiling

The children have settled in really well and have been working really hard and getting into the way Year 2 works. The children are learning to be more independent. I know it must be frustrating when they leave belonging behind in school but I am trying very hard to get them to take responsibility for their own belongings.
Hopefully you will have all read the information below but here is a copy for you.
Welcome to Year 2
We hope that you have all had a happy Summer and are ready for a busy and fruitful year. We will be working very hard on developing the children’s independence and appreciate your support in this. Although this year will be challenging for the children we will ensure that the children are happy, motivated and really enjoy coming to school. We will try to make everything as fun as possible. Just after Christmas we will be holding a meeting specifically for SATS.
Spellings- These will be given out for the half term next week. Children will be informally tested on these spellings on a Friday.
Equipment- In Year 2 the children are allowed to bring in their own pencil cases to use in some lessons. This is entirely voluntary and can be kept in their trays or they can bring them in daily. We are planning to do more outdoor activities so we would like the children to have a pair of wellies and some old trousers or joggers to keep in school. Please put them in a labelled bag.
P.E. – Please ensure that the children have their P.E kits in school at all times. P.E will be on Tuesdays.
If you have any concerns or queries at any time do not hesitate to write us a note or come and see us. You can also send us an email via the school office. We’re extremely approachable and believe that working together we will achieve the best for your child. The best times to see us is after school.
Thank you for your support.
