A little hello :)

Week 2

Good morning Year 6! I hope you are all still enjoying yourselves and are making lots of fun memories at home.

This week in school, we have been making sunshines to decorate our windows and brighten up daily exercise for everyone - have you spotted any?  If you have been decorating your windows at home, send in your pictures and I will share them on our class page too.  We have also been learning some dances with Oti Mabuse; we danced around the hall to Let It Go and We're All In This Together - it was great fun!

I have created a new sub-link on our class home learning page to share some of the Survivor stories by David Long and will be setting up at voting link soon for you to choose which stories you want to read next.  Elouise came up with the idea and has been helping me in school to choose the stories for this week.  We hope you enjoy reading them!

The teachers and school team have also been working hard on a special surprise for you all this week to share with you soon - watch this space!

I am missing you all and thank you to those of you who have been emailing the office to keep in touch.  It is lovely to hear how you are getting on and hope to hear from more of you next week.

Stay safe and keep smiling, Miss Davies : )

Edward has been working hard and making the most of his time at home.

He has written a lovely poem about Spring, completed some maths challenges and sent in a timetable of his day.

Thanks for the pictures, Edward!

Spring has come

as the rabbits lay their young.

In the forest, the deer run along

making a noise upon their way.

As the tadpoles wiggle along

as the birds sing their song

as the deer run along

the forest becomes alive again.

It's Spring.

Jack has been making the most of the sunshine by decorating lots of wonderful rainbows to encourage us to remember our school values, keep smiling and stay safe!  Here are some pictures of his rainbows and other art work he has been enjoying creating this week.

Keep up the great artwork, Jack!

Anya has been working hard at home to find out all about Charles Darwin.

Well done Anya; I hope you had fun learning about Darwin's life.

Week 1

Hi Year 6! I hope you have all survived week one at home and are feeling positive!

It has been a very quiet week at school without you all, but we have made the most of it and the sunshine.  In school this week, we have made rainbows to decorate the school gates - have you seen them on your daily walk or bike ride (the new daily mile!)?  We have also done some of our learning packs like you, made rainbows to take home (mine is in my front window) and done PE with Joe every day.

I hope you have enjoyed the activities I have been uploading and thank you to those of you who have emailed to let me know how fun your week has been - it was lovely to hear and see what great things you have been up to, and I hope to hear from more of you soon.  I will keep updating our class page when I come across new and fun things for you to complete at home too.

Have a good weekend and stay safe.

Miss Davies : )

P.S. I keep hearing the songs you requested for our playlist on the radio and having flash backs to you all dancing in the classroom (especially Doja Cat) - you lot really do make me smile!
