So far this half term, we have been very lucky to have a visit from Nurse Kate, who came into school to talk to us about what it means to keep healthy and the ways in which we can keep healthy. We had lots of questions for her and some interesting stories about when we had needed medical attention. Nurse Kate talked to us about the importance of hand washing and how having immunisations can help us to stay healthy.
In English we have been trying different fruits linked to a book called Oscar's Fruit Salad, we learnt how to use adjectives to describe the nouns, which in this case was the fruit.
In our topic lesson we made our own fruit kebabs and then wrote instructions using imperative (bossy) verbs.
In Maths we are learning about the place value of each digit in a 2 digit number. We are using dienes equipment to help us to understand this.
