We hope you've all had a wonderful week and we would now like to welcome you to our new topic for the final half term of Reception. So far we've been very busy travelling in space but now it's time to return to Earth and dive deep into the oceans. We have lots of stories to look forward to over the next 7 weeks as we explore the seas and we cannot wait to see your photographs and videos on Tapestry sharing all your amazing learning at home. Have fun.
Story - Commotion in the Ocean Before listening to the final page ask the following questions, encouraging the children to give reasons to support their answers: Which animals did we meet in the story? Which is your favourite creature? Which creature is dangerous? Which creature is scary? Which creature is friendly?
PSED - Animation: A Whale's Tale Under the sea a whale tries to help the smaller creatures who are struggling with plastic waste. On land a young boy seeks help to clear the sea in his area. But neither the boy nor the whale can succeed on their own.
